Obituary
Sharon Annmarie Evensen, 89, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family after a life marked by care, devotion, and deep affection for those she loved.
Born on October 8, 1936, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Sharon was the daughter of the late Ken and Helen Stoer. She spent her formative years in Two Rivers before moving to Milwaukee, where she graduated from Rufus King High School in 1954. Drawn to a life of helping others, Sharon earned her Registered Nursing degree and began her dedicated career at Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee. It was there that she met the love of her life, Robert Evensen. The couple married on January 9, 1960, and built a beautiful life together rooted in family, service, and love.
Sharon was the heart of her family, offering a steady presence and generous love to the people closest to her. She is survived by her sister, Loma Vogel (Gary), and by her loving children, Paul Evensen (Mehdi Benbaba), Daniel Evensen (Valerie), and Ellen Klug (Edward). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Hannah Christensen (Jeffrey), Matthew Evensen (Haley), Michael Collis, Jason Klug (Stacey), Nicole Wilke (Jerry), Paul Klug (Gabby), Coletta Neuman (Greg), Ava Neuman (Nick), John Neuman, and Yazid Ben Khattab. Known affectionately as “GG” by her great-grandchildren, Sharon found some of her greatest joy in their company. She will be remembered with love and missed deeply by all who knew her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert N. Evensen; her parents, Ken and Helen Stoer; her parents-in-law, Albert and Marie Evensen; and her dear son, Robert D. Evensen, and his spouse, Christine Evensen.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at ThedaCare Medical Center–Neenah for the compassionate care, kindness, and comfort they provided to Sharon.
