Cheryl Sturgis

Cheryl A Sturgis (Van Linn), Age 66 passed away peacefully, Friday July 17, 2026. She was born November 12, 1960 in Neenah, daughter of the late Peter I and Gertrude (Miller) Van Linn.

To many she will be remembered as the needed shoulder, the smile and laughter “slinging beers” and the “hostess with the mostess” for Packer games and parties at the local tavern. To her family she will be remembered as the young Mom and Grandma that did the best with what she had. Her entertaining stories, her ridiculous humor along with the many adventurous trips to the beaches and Northwoods will not be forgotten.

Survivors include; her daughter Angie Anthony, her sons; James (Penelope) Willer Jr, Joel (Tamrah) Ellenbecker, Jordan Sturgis, Jared Sturgis, her grandchildren; Cody Embs, Haley Johnson, Thaddeus, Atticus and Genevieve Willer, Theodore and Lincoln Ellenbecker, Hadley, Tatum and Hendrix Sturgis. She is further survived by her sister Barbara (Ned) Moore and brothers; Daniel Van Linn and Shawn (Kaye) Van Linn and many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her son Justin Sturgis, brothers; Peter Van Linn II and Wayne Van Linn, nephews; Daniel (Bo) Van Linn Jr and Shannon Dennis, niece; Kimberly Van Linn.

Due to the extreme amount of lives Cheryl has touched there will be a private family gathering planned.
