Carol Watt

Carol Dee Watt (Hull) went home peacefully to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 25, 2026 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by love and family and covered in prayer in her final days and hours up to the moment of her entrance into eternal life when she was certainly greeted with, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”.

Carol was a woman of intense faith, loving compassion and unending patience. She made a profound impact on her family, her friends and her mission field in tangible ways that will never be forgotten. Her generosity with her time, talent and treasure was experienced by everyone that had the honor and pleasure of meeting her. She stood in awe of God’s creation and enjoyed hiking, bird watching and a majestic sunrise or sunset.

Carol was a humble servant of Jesus Christ and never sought recognition or earthly reward. She devoted a substantial amount of time each morning to reading and memorizing Scripture and praying diligently for those that the Lord placed on her heart and her prayer list. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own and encouraged others by the spoken word and also by regularly sending handwritten notes and cards that reflected her kindness and concern. Carol meticulously handcrafted more than 260 Nativity sets over the years that she gifted to friends and family and which immediately became heirlooms to the recipients. She was a long-time member of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah, WI.

Born in Des Moines, Iowa to Clifford and Mildred Hull and raised in Ankeny, Iowa with her older sister Linda, her identical twin sister Cathy, and her younger brother Buddy (Clifford), Carol excelled academically and athletically. She went on with Cathy to complete her Nursing School education and become a Registered Nurse. She worked for almost 40 years in hospital and nursing home settings and truly reflected the hands and feet of Jesus. The patients she encountered as a nurse not only received the best medical care, but also the best spiritual care possible.

In 1969 Carol married her beloved husband, Dale, as the result of a blind date arranged by mutual friends. She was a devoted and supportive wife for the entirety of their 57-year marriage and 58 years together, always providing encouragement and prayer. Carol and Dale had two sons, Jeff and Paul, to whom she provided unconditional love, opportunity and care, always attending to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. This same love, selflessness and care was felt by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in ways that will be remembered and carried forward for generations.

Carol is survived by her husband, Dale Watt, her sons, Jeff Watt (Kim) and Paul Watt (Michelle), her sisters Linda Beck and Cathy O’Brien (Don), her grandchildren, Alexis Zeininger (Jon), Ethan Watt (Kyra) and Andrew Watt, her great grandchildren, Emery Zeininger and Adriana Sansone, and many special nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mildred, and by her younger brother Buddy.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held on Tuesday, August 18th at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah, WI 54956. Visitation will start at 10am, with a Service beginning at 11am to be officiated by Pastor Harry Shields. The Service will be livestreamed. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the church.
