Obituary

Andrew Paul Mohnen, lovingly known as “Andy,” age 77, of Menasha, Wisconsin, passed away on August 3, 2026.

Paul was born on December 25, 1948, in White Lake, South Dakota, to Joseph and Anna Mohnen. After moving to the Fox Valley area, he met the love of his life, Nancy.

Their love story grew into a marriage that spanned nearly 55 years, built on devotion, laughter, and a shared commitment to family.

Paul retired from Printron Engravers in 2014, allowing him to devote more time to the hobbies and traditions he loved most. Retirement gave him the opportunity to fully pursue his passions for fishing, gardening, woodworking, pheasant hunting, and collecting rocks and coins. He also enjoyed watching classic Westerns.

Some of his happiest times were spent at the Beechy Farm, where he enjoyed hunting, farming, making maple syrup, and creating cherished memories with his grandchildren. Whether he was tending to his garden, crafting something in his workshop, casting a fishing line, or searching for the next addition to his collection, Paul approached life with curiosity, patience, and enthusiasm.

Above all else, Paul cherished time spent with his family. His greatest happiness came from making memories with those he loved, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The time they spent together—whether working outdoors, sharing stories, resting their eyes, or simply enjoying each other’s company—created lasting bonds and memories that will be treasured for generations.

Paul will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for nature, his willingness to share his knowledge and traditions, and the kindness and warmth he showed to those around him. He was one of the most generous people anyone could meet.

He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether that meant sharing something from his garden, helping with a woodworking project, or passing along something he had learned over the years. If he could help, he would—and he was always happy to share his time, talents, and what he had with others.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Nancy Mohnen; his daughters, MirandaAnn and Dawn; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, James (Maddi), Baily (Pierre), Cheyenne (Benjamin), Kellie (Cross), and Ada; his great-grandchildren, Zariell and Maura; his siblings, Sharon (Bob), Dolores, and Theresa; his sister-in-law, Rosalie “Rosie”; and the Lepper family, whom he considered extended family: Chad, Lori, Matthew, Hannah, his bonus son, Adam (Brooke), and their son, Colton Lepper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Mohnen; his siblings, John, Mary “Toots,” Edward, Jeanette “Sis,” Leo, James, Phillip, Gerald, Richard, David, and Elizabeth “Betty”; and his in-laws, Alan, Gene, Warren, Bob, Donna, Millie, Roseanne “Nanny,” and Merlin.
