Obituary

Florence D. Nelson, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Valley VNA, on Saturday, August 1, 2026. She was born February 26, 1933, daughter of the late Jacob and Estrid (Erickson) Johnson.

Florence was a 53 year member of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah.

Survivors include her four children: Timothy (Linda) Nelson, Debra (Peter) Honer, Jeffrey (Shelly) Nelson, Melissa (Stephen) Mercer, Millie Stapp, a beloved niece and sister in the Lord; 15 grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Nelson; a son, Steve Nelson; and her grandson, John Nelson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Rd, Neenah, with Rev. Caleb Roth officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Valley VNA for the wonderful care and compassion given to our mother.

Flossie was one of my grandma's closest friends, and she was always so kind to me. I went through a hard time when I was a teenager, and she and my grandma's other friends always welcomed me to their cafe table at church. She will be very missed.
