Obituary
William J. Moderson, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was born on October 29, 1973, the son of the late Steve and Thea (Robinson) Moderson.
William was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He worked for Wisconsin Paper Group for 26 years and took pride in the life he built for himself and his family.
William had a big personality, a great sense of humor, and a way of making people laugh. He loved watching football, especially his beloved Packers, cheering on the Bucks, and watching baseball. He enjoyed playing darts and cornhole, having a few drinks and sharing laughs with his friends, and watching movies, especially anything starring Adam Sandler. William loved to joke around and was always ready to pull a prank or scare someone when they least expected it. His laughter, mischievous spirit, and the memories he created with the people around him will never be forgotten.
Above all else, William loved and cherished his children and the times he spent with them. His four children, Paiton, Parker, Aiden, and Spencer, were his greatest joy and held a very special place in his heart and were an important part of his life. The time he spent with them was precious, and the love he had for them will live on through the memories they shared together.
William is survived by his beloved children, Paiton, Parker, Aiden, and Spencer; his brother, Bob Moderson; his sister, Terry Moderson; his niece, Brittany; and his nephew, Anthony. He preceded in death by a grandson, Jameson.
Though William's time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he left behind will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He will be loved, remembered, and missed more than words can express.
A visitation will be from 3:30pm to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Menasha’s Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Redliner Bar, 977 Plank Rd, Menasha.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in William’s memory.
