Kenneth Larson

Kenneth Keith Larson, Jr., born August 17, 1940, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 21st, surrounded by the love of his family.

 Ken was the beloved husband of Monica, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. Their life together was filled with love, family, and many cherished memories. He was the proud father of Pamela and Melissa, and a loving grandfather to Isabella, Victoria, Cecilia, Jacob, and Luke.

 Ken proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years before retiring. He later worked in jewelry insurance for 22 years and enjoyed delivering flowers in his retirement years. He loved the simple pleasure of bringing something beautiful to someone else.

 Ken had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed gathering wild asparagus, wild grapes, berries, and hickory nuts. Monica would make jam from the wild grapes and berries he brought home, and Ken loved sharing it with family, friends, and neighbors. He also took great pride in growing trees and flowers, often giving them away to strangers to make them smile. Whether he was gathering from the woods, tending his garden, or sharing what he had grown, Ken found happiness in giving.

 Ken had a playful side and loved making people smile. He was known for wearing fun, colorful, and sometimes downright crazy socks and ties. It was just another way Ken brought a little joy and laughter to the people around him.

 He is survived by his wife, Monica; daughter Melissa (Will) Pinter; grandchildren Isabella, Victoria, and Cecilia Mandli, Jacob and Luke Pinter; and his siblings, Patricia Blank, Sharon (Gary) Nehring, Karen (George) Ames, Kathy (Jim) Richardson, David (Gail) Fischer, Sue Fischer, and Dan (Brenda) Larson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember his kindness and generous spirit.

 Ken was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Larson; his parents, Kenneth Keith Larson, Sr. and Margaret Tesch Larson Fisher; his siblings, Jack Larson, Joyce Mac Rae, Joyce Zielicke, Kay Larson, and Jon Fischer; and his brother-in-law, Gordon Blank.

 A Christian funeral service will be held for Ken at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah with Rev. DJ Engelbrecht officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:30 am until the hour of the service, followed by a light lunch. Military Honors with the Neenah/Menasha Veterans Honor Guard.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Services in honor of Ken.  The burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
