Ethan Grube

Ethan David Grube, age 33, of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on September 20, 2026. Ethan was born on October 15, 1992, and grew up in the Fox Valley, where he attended Appleton East High School. Eight years ago, Ethan moved to Milwaukee where he began a career dedicated to helping others. He was recognized throughout the community for supporting people as they overcame the challenges associated with addiction.

Ethan was a proud and dedicated father to his two boys Ezme and Elijah.  Time with his boys and family were his most cherished moments. His boys meant the world to him.

Ethan was passionate about his work in Milwaukee. He spent seven years at Roots Recovery Housing Services and had recently begun a new role as Director of Business Development at Legacy Recovery Centers.

Ethan will be remembered for the person he was and for the lasting impact he had on the lives of those who knew and loved him.  He had a way of bringing laughter and kindness to those around him and his presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Everyone who knew Ethan knew how much he loved sports, especially playing golf whenever he had the chance. Living in Milwaukee also gave him many opportunities to attend Brewers and Bucks games.

Ethan is survived by his children, Ezme and Elijah; his parents, David and RoxAnn Grube; his sister, Kendelle Grube (Tyler); his grandmothers, Carol Petit and Margaret Holdman; and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service celebrating Ethan’s life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Alliance Church:

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at noon.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date in Milwaukee.

Although Ethan’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain with us. His life mattered, and he will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who loved him.
