Obituary

Kenneth A. "Ken" Kiesau

February 22, 1944 – October 22, 2026

Kenneth A. "Ken" Kiesau, 82, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Thursday, surrounded by family, after several months of being profoundly annoyed by cancer.

Ken was born on February 22, 1944, in Waukon, Iowa, to Roland and Esther (Flage) Kiesau. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1962.

On February 27, 1966, Ken married the love of his life, Susan "Sue" Steensen. Together they raised three children, and this year they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Ken spent most of his career at Kimberly-Clark and Menasha Corporation. He retired early to do what he really loved: being a "pretend farmer."

Ken's greatest joy was his grandchildren. He followed their lives closely, stayed actively involved, and made it to as many of their events as he could. He also loved to drive, and he was rarely happier than on the road between Neenah and his family farm in northeast Iowa.

His legacy is his example of positivity, humor, and belief in the power of good. He also passed down important lessons: "it's all relative," "be kind," "help if you can," and, most recently, another reminder that "life isn't fair."

Ken is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue; his children, Kathie (Jim) Natzke of Fitchburg, Shawn (Jill) Kiesau of Verona, and Tom Kiesau of Glenview, Illinois; his grandchildren, Page, Grace, Hans, Sam, Trent, Xander, and Logan; his sister, Mary Kiesau (Tom Carmody); and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Esther Kiesau; his sister, Jody Ingwersen; and his grandson, Paul Natzke.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, at First Presbyterian Church in Neenah, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Paul's Party (paulsparty.org/donate), a charity that honors the memory of Ken's grandson.
