Obituary

Steven J. Stoll, DDS, age 74, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2026. He leaves behind a family that loves to laugh, wonderful friendships and patients that were a little less afraid to go to the dentist.

He was born in Norfolk, VA, son of the late Linus and Jeane (Martin) Stoll. He graduated in 1970 from Two Rivers High School, attended Carrol University as an undergraduate and completed his dental degree at Marquette University. In 1973 he married Linda Gear and together they had 4 children.  He was selected for a general practice residency by the US Army and served at Brooke Army Medical Hospital in San Antonio, Texas and Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. He owned Doty Island Dentistry in Neenah and practiced for 30 years. He was dedicated to his practice and his profession. He served a term as the president of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Dental Association as well as on numerous chapter committees. Additional memberships include life member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation and the International College of Dentists. Steve volunteered at the Tri-County Community Dental Clinic and served on the board of Neenah Club.

Steve was an avid golfer and would play any day the weather and his schedule allowed.  This included rounds in December and January if he could find an open course. He and Linda loved to travel both abroad and to many of the state and national parks. Family was important and he looked forward to their biennial family vacations. Spending a week with all 16 was a source of many adventures and stories and gave him great joy that they all loved to be together.

Steve is survived by his wife Linda, his children Brian Stoll, Jennifer (Eric) Blankenfeld, Rebecca (Bill) Brown and Jason (Kelly) Stoll; grandchildren Megan and Abbey Stoll, Tyler (Natasha) Balcomb, Christopher Blankenfeld, Wyatt and Lily Brown; great-grandchild Venessa Balcomb. He is further survived by his brother, Michael (Toni) Stoll, and sisters Barbara (Cliff) Hambleton and Mary (Michael) Endres; and by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
