Obituary

James “Jim” Carl Wilson, 54, was born on February 21, 1972, in Neenah, Wisconsin. Jim was a faithful boyfriend, son, brother, pet owner, and friend who leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a place in the hearts of those who loved him. If there was one thing everyone should remember about Jim, it is the love he had for Bonnie and his beloved dog, Reiko. His love for them was unconditional and ran deep. He would go above and beyond for the ones he loved, and they brought him happiness that words cannot fully describe. They were more than just part of his life; they were his heart. Jim went further than most to make sure his dog Reiko had the healthiest of foods. He would mix vegetables and meats in a pressure cooker and store the results in containers for later consumption. When Jim wanted to feel a little of his wild side he would go for rides on one of his multiple motorcycles – his Harley being his favorite. Jim was a Neenah High School graduate and had taken training locally to become a firefighter only to be disappointed to learn that most local fire fighters are born of a parent who is a firefighter and any local jobs would be few and far between. He instead got a job at Neenah Printing for several years where he first met his lifelong girlfriend Bonnie Brennan. He later got a job at Regal Rexnord in Oshkosh where he worked on conveying systems.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Leslie Wilson, his grandparents Edward and Bernice Wilson and Carl and Elsie Reichel, his aunt Sharon Osenroth, uncles Gerald All, Roy Wilson and Gene Wilson, cousins Mark Zanders, Russ Wilson and Michael All.

He leaves behind his life partner Bonnie Brennan, his dog Reiko, his mother Ellen Wilson and his brothers, Jeff Wilson (Laura), Jerry Wilson (Jane), and sisters Julie Captain (Paul), Jennifer Wilson. He also leaves behind nieces Sarah Wilson, Kristy Wilson, Anna Kranz (Jeremy), Rebecca Bevers, Angelina Enneper, and nephew Kip Enneper (Mikayla), his aunts Carole All, Eunice Wilson and Sandy Wilson, other extended family and many friends whose lives are better for having known him.

Though saying goodbye is never easy, we hope to remember Jim for the love he had for his family, how he selflessly helped people, and all the memories made along the way. Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember Jim at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home on Saturday November 7, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11am, with a service to follow. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to reminisce as cookies and muffins will be served, hopefully there will be stories to share, memories, and a little time together remembering Jim.
