LORETTA WARNKE

Loretta E. Warnke, age 90, of Neenah, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Valley VNA. She was born on February 28, 1923 in Eureka, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Gass) Rutkowski. On June 4, 1949 she married Merle F. Warnke, and the union was blessed with one daughter, three sons, and 38 wonderful years before he preceded her in death on January 5, 1988. She was a long-time member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Menasha. Loretta loved dancing, walking, knitting, and working in her yard. Her love, compassion, and generosity were greatly shown by the way she cared for others. Her cheerful and energetic spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Shirlee (Fred) Evans, Neenah; her sons: Daryl (Mary), Kaukauna, Richard (Gail), Peshtigo, Steven (Laura), Howards Grove; grandchildren: Michael (Tasha) Evans, Appleton, Shelly (Sp. Friend Gary) Evans, Neenah, Kellie (Adam) Hale, Menasha, Hollie (Tony) Kraft, Green Bay, Zachary Warnke, Howards Grove; and a great granddaughter, Bella Rougeux, Neenah; her sister, Dolores Vogt; nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Niel Vogt, and sister-in-law, Nona Riese. The Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church (320 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha) with Father Jim Hablewitz officiating. Friends will be received on Monday, September 16 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass, directly at the church. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Lorettas name for the Valley VNA.
