THOMAS ANDERSEN

Thomas J. Andersen, age 55, formerly of Appleton, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014. He was born in Watertown, WI on October 20, 1958 to John and the late Phyllis Andersen. Tom moved to Neenah with his family in 1973, was a graduate of Neenah High School, and worked for Appleton Papers for 35 years. His greatest achievement in life was being a father. He was a huge supporter of his girls in all of their endeavors. He was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed coaching softball and basketball. He was proud to be an active member of the Appleton West Terrors community. A loyal friend, he will be remembered for his sense of humor, smile, and selflessness; putting everyone he met at ease. Tom's family was his whole world. Missing him are his two daughters: Jessica (Michael Neil) Andersen, and Natalie Andersen; his loving fiancée, Shelley Formella; his father, John; his sisters: Mary (Peter) Jones, and Karen (Mark) Boettner; and his uncle, Karl (Carolyn Heidemann) Andersen. He is also survived by two nieces and a nephew. Preceding him in death was his mother, Phyllis. A memorial service for Tom will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at St. Patrick's Parish, Menasha, Fr. Jim Habelwitz officiating.
