MELBA BEISER

Melba R. Beiser, of Neenah, age 93, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born February 23, 1921 in Columbus, WI, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Jones) Roberts. Melba married Hartwell Beiser on August 25, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1985. Melba graduated from Columbus High School and the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Neenah where she was active with their United Methodist Women, a former member of their choir, and also taught Sunday School. Melba became Certified as an Education Associate and served in that capacity for 10 years. She also taught Kindergarten and Nursery School, acted as her kids Den Mother for Cub Scouts, and volunteered with Best Friends of Neenah/Menasha. Survivors include her seven sons: Steven (Dottie) Beiser, Terrell Beiser, Gary (Kathy) Beiser, Craig (Sandy) Beiser, Brian (Mary) Beiser, Glen Beiser, Guy Beiser; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Melba was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Beiser; and two sisters: Mary Pritchard, Mildred Evans. The funeral service for Melba will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, August 11, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Ave., Neenah, with Rev.'s Tony Fuller and Mark Geisthardt officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. The family would like to thank the staff of Cherry Meadows Hospice and Theda Care at Home Hospice for all their loving care.
