DELORENTIU MIRON

Delorentiu "Puiu" "Del" Miron, of Appleton, age 58, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014. He was born March 21, 1956 in Bacau, Romania. Puiu attended L. Patrascanu High School and The Institute of Civil Engineering in Bucharest, graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering. Growing up in a Communist country, he was surrounded by a loving family but he always dreamed of being free and living in a free country. Puiu's dream became reality in 1991 when he joined his sister and her family in the US, settling down in Appleton, WI. He adjusted to his new life and tried different careers. Puiu was employed with RR Donnelly (formerly Banta Co) in Menasha, since 1997 and Lamers since 1999. Puiu loved soccer and he had a sense of humor, making jokes often. He loved nature and to travel. His favorite place was Hawaii which he called "Heaven on Earth." Puiu is survived by his father, Dumitru Miron, Romania; a daughter, Iolanda Tanase; his ex-wife, Daniela Miron, Appleton; his sister, Doina Neculescu, Minneapolis; a brother-in-law, Cristian; a nephew, Michael; niece, Sonia; and many relatives in Romania. Puiu was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Miron; grandparents and other relatives. The funeral service for Piui will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of service. The family is forever grateful to the Cherry Meadows staff for their excellent care, dedication and compassion. May God Rest His Soul in Peace!
