RUSSELL GEIGER

Dr. Russell E. Geiger, age 92, passed away peacefully, at home with his family by his side, after a lengthy illness on Monday, August 18, 2014. He was born on September 24, 1921 in Clintonville; son of the late Edward and Elsie (Horn) Geiger. On September 28, 1946 he was united in marriage to Joyce Zeuske in Embarrass, WI. Russell graduated from Clintonville High School in 1939 and from Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, IN in 1947. He practiced in Neenah from 1947 - 1999. Russell was a dedicated family man and he enjoyed sharing many outdoor activities with his family including camping, hunting, fishing and boating. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 67 years, Joyce Geiger, Neenah, WI; children: Steve (Bev) Geiger, Neenah, WI, Stuart Geiger, Amherst, WI, Scott (Renee) Geiger, Neenah, WI and Stephanie (Philip) Lambert, Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren: Julie Geiger, Las Vegas, NV, Jason Geiger, Verona, WI, Jana (Eric) Esden, Clermont, FL, Leah (Jared) Shelerud, Monticello, WI and Hannah, Sarah and Eric Lambert, Vero Beach, FL; great-grandchildren: Harley and Cash Geiger, Callie, Micah and Elena Esden and Kensington Shelerud; sister, Virginia (Don Steege) Schneider; sister-in-law, Mae Geiger; brothers-in-law: Eugene (Vi) Zeuske, Duane (Mabel) Zeuske and Don (Judy) Zeuske and by numerous nieces and nephews. Russell was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Max (Ethel) Zeuske; brother, Lawrence Geiger; and brothers-in-law: Edward Klein, Frank Schneider and Dennis (Dorothy) Zeuske. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 200 Church St., Neenah. The Rev. Paul Huxtable will officiate. Family and friends may visit at the church on Friday from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Affinity Visiting Nurses-Hospice, Neenah would be appreciated. Russell's family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff of Affinity Visiting Nurses for their compassionate care.
