RUSSELL CARR

Russell L. Carr, age 78 of Menasha, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Galesburg, IL on January 31, 1936 to the late Henry and Goldie (Chance) Carr. On March 9, 1958, he married Janet Moore. Together they lived in Rio and Galesburg, IL until their move to Neenah in 1967, and currently reside in Menasha. Russell was a 1955 graduate of ROVA High School in Oneida, IL. He worked on a farm, then received a job with the Francis DuPont Stock Exchange, and then with Fidelity Insurance, while in Illinois. After Russ and Janet moved to Wisconsin, he began working for Baer's Beverage, and eventually started his own business, Russ Carr's Tap and Line Cleaning, which he owned and operated for 25 years. Russ is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet; his children: Rusty (Carrie) Carr; Sandi (Mark Waisanen) Hoeper; and Sherri (Dan) Law; grandchildren: Michael (Jessica) Law; Jen (Eric Truttchel) Law; Stephen Law; Jason Carr; Kristi (Josh Bradley) Carr; Kaitlynn Carr; Erica (Rick) Heinemann; Ashley (Ryan) Raymond; Amanda (Jesse Frantila) Hoeper; and Brandon Hill; great-grandchildren: Christian Heinemann; Caleb Heinemann; Cameron Bradley; Trevor Frantila; and Bryce Truttchel. He is further survived by his siblings and in-laws: Stan (Becky) Carr; Velma Roath; Joyce Johnson; Janet (Joe) Kelly; Christine Gott; Audrey Carr; Dean Hazen; Kenny Harmison; and Jim (Carolee) Moore. He was preceded in death by his son, Lester Carr; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Rosalee (Watkins) Moore; and siblings and in-laws: Virgil Carr; Doran Carr; Mildred (Veral) Bybee; Iola Hazen; Lester Roath; Lois Harmison; Charles Johnson; and Wayne Gott. A memorial service for Russell will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
