SHERRELL PUES

Our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was received into the arms of her everlasting Father on August 26th, 2014. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, husband DeLyle and son Rick. Left to share cherished memories are her children Randy (Vicky) Pues, Terri (Rick) Mykel, Rod (Pam) Pues, Rory (Mary) Pues, Tami (Tom) Thoma, and special daughter-in-law Cheryl Pues. Sherrell had 8 grandchildren Andy, Amanda, Andrea, Jason, Jeremy, Jodi, Chad, and Katie; and 9 great grandchildren Preston, Destiny, Jerrick, Keaton, Conner, Mason, Jenna, Carson, and Brady. It was always fun for her to keep up with all of us! Sherrell had a multi-faceted career in business and banking while enjoying a very busy family life. Sherrell and DeLyle always had an open door for friends and "adopted" children. Whether it was a 4:00 am send- off breakfast for a group of hunting guys or fisherman, or a shopping trip to Milwaukee for girls, Sherrell always found ways to make every day extra special. She especially enjoyed celebrating and decorating for every holiday. These special times left family and friends filled with anticipation waiting to feel the love of her efforts. She enjoyed many activities throughout her life. Entertaining, boating, snowmobiling, crafting, travel, sporting events and music. Her ultimate love was dancing with DeLyle "the dancing bear". The harmony of their steps found them entered and even winning local dance contests. She was a proud 49er at Neenah High School. Sherrell was active in many clubs and organizations. BPW (Business and Professional Women), Fremont Boat Club, and assisted to create the Navarino Wildwood Trail Riders, just to name a few. She was very dedicated to volunteer work which included 19 years with the Theda Clark auxiliary where she focused on the baby picture program. She spent 13 years as the treasurer of Ladies Ducks Unlimited, Winnegamie Widgeons Chapter and supported the Neenah Menasha YMCA senior center. She actively volunteered with many groups her children and grandchildren enjoyed while they were growing up. Sherrell was especially proud of her Irish heritage. She shared this through thoughtful little gifts that will be treasured forever. Sherrell talked about "dirty Irish luck" or an Irish Blessing, drank an Irish Coffee or enjoyed a bit of Baileys. She traveled to Ireland and kissed the "Blarney Stone", which was one of the highlight destinations of her life. Sherrell touched many lives with unconditional love and without judgment. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her family extends special thanks to Dr. Baltz and the 5th floor nursing staff at Theda Clark Hospital for the exceptional care and support they provided. A memorial is being established. She has completed her final journey here on earth but leaves behind incredible heart held memories. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 439 Washington Ave., Neenah, with Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. The family will greet guests from 10:00 AM until the hour of Mass.
