AGNES RYDER

Agnes "Aggie" Ruth Ryder, 81 of Oshkosh, and formerly of Neenah, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. She had been a resident since December at Parkview Health Center, Oshkosh. Agnes was born April 4, 1933, daughter of the late Edward and Lydia (Folske) Bauer. She married Raymond Ryder Sr. on October 7, 1967 in St. Louis, MN. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1994. Employed for many years as a home health aide for the Neenah VNA, she earned their Caregiver of the Year award. She enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, collectibles, camping with her husband in their earlier years, and had a great love of caring for numerous animals throughout her lifetime, especially her dogs, cats, and birds. Agnes is survived by her son, Robert Bauer of Phillips; grandchildren: Forrest (Jennifer) Bauer of Sturdevant; and Nadine Bauer of Oshkosh; great-grandsons: Dominic and Drayden Bauer, Oshkosh; siblings: Joyce (Donald) Quint; Donald (Diane) Bauer; and Carolyn Bauer all of Oshkosh; sister-in-law, Margaret Bauer of Oshkosh, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Edward Jr., and sister-in-law, Betty Bauer. A visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 10:30 A.M. until the hour of the memorial service, 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to the Oshkosh Humane Society per her request. Special thanks are offered to Dr. Beck, Dr. Schiedermayer and the staff of Theda Clark 5th floor North who assisted with her care, caregivers and activities staff of Parkview Health Center with whom she shared her life for the past eight months, and a special niece, Lynn Fette, with whom she entrusted her affairs.
