GERALD ENGELDINGER

Gerald Lloyd Engeldinger, of Neenah, age 81, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014, in St. Louis, MO. He was born April 3, 1933 in Marshfield, WI, son of the late Winifred and Peter Engeldinger. Gerald married Elizabeth "Bette" Winings on July 8, 1961 in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on November 23, 2008. Gerald graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. degree. He then received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Marquette University Law School in 1960. He worked for Winnebago County in Oshkosh, WI as District Attorney and Corporation Counsel for 30 years until his retirement. Gerald enjoyed travelling in his free time. Survivors include his three children: Grace Cavallini, Glendale, NY, Ann (Richard) Higby, St. Louis, MO, Pete (Annette) Engeldinger, St. Peter, MN; a granddaughter, Katherine Engeldinger; and a sister, Sharon Sermonet, Atlanta, GA. Gerald was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Theodore J. Sermonet. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 22, 2014, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, Gerald's family will appreciate a donation in his name to St. Margaret Mary Parish.
