PATRICK TRUDELL

Patrick J. Trudell, age 75 was called to his eternal life by his Savior and Lord at his home with his loving family at his side on October 9, 2014. Patrick was born on March 17, 1939 to the late David and Emma (Francois) Trudell in Oconto Falls, WI. Patrick was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School and went onto UW Oshkosh with both football and basketball scholarships and majoring in social studies. After college, Patrick returned to Oconto Falls and owned and operated Trudell's Furniture and Appliance Store until 1978. From 1978 until his retirement in 2003, Patrick was a dealer business manager for the Serta Mattress Company. Patrick's favorite job during his retirement years was driving school bus for Lamer Bus Lines, Menasha, where he took pride in making sure "his kids" arrived safely at school and back home each day. Patrick's greatest loves were his faith and his family. Patrick's love of sports continued through his entire life and included coaching both boys and girls basketball and girls volleyball and serving as athletic director for St. Margaret Mary Parish, Neenah. A golf enthusiast, Patrick was also always available for a quick game of basketball and loved to coordinate a game of football with family and friends. Patrick was active in the politics, loved working on home projects, playing cribbage and sheepshead especially with close friends Harvey, Sue, John and members of the Appleton Yacht Club. Patrick will be missed by his wife Jac of 32 years and his children: Jeff (Lynn) Trudell, Pulaski; Clint (Janet) LeClair, Neenah; Laurie (Charles) Roy, TX, Danielle Zemlock, Appleton and Gafa Temirov, Little Chute and his German exchange children Anton Peters and Antje Jurke. Patrick is survived by six grandchildren Ali Rhode, Boston; Jenna and Porter Trudell, Myles Zemlock, Drew Roy, and Ainsley LeClair. Patrick is further survived by a sister Doreen Senn, Green Bay, and two brothers Gerald, Mosinee; and Wayne, Mountain; and five brothers and one sister by marriage; David Hetue, FL; Dan Hetue, St Paul, MN, Jeff Hetue, Two Rivers, Mike (Bec) Hetue, Johnson Creek and Guy Hetue, Kimberly, WI and Ruth Trudell, Oconto Falls. Patrick was preceded in death by his brother Dave Trudell, Jr.; mother and father by marriage Kermit and Loretta Hetue; and sisters by marriage Marilyn Hetue, Patricia Trudell and Sandy Trudell and brother by marriage Darryl (Skinner) Senn. Patrick selected his sons Jeff, Clint and Gafa, brother Dan, grandson Myles and friend Harvey to serve as pallbearers. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday October 13, 2014 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, 222 E Fremont St, Appleton WI, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Don Zuleger. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank Affinity Hospice and special friends Rhonda, Carrie and Nicole for their loving care for Patrick and family support.
