RONALD BABBITZ

Ronald Lee Babbitz, age 66, of Neenah went to Heaven on angels' wings to meet up with Neili, Bucky, Ted, Toby, Lakota, Alice Rasmussen, Walter Babbitz, Doug Rasmussen, and Dorothy and Hugh Gear on Monday, October 6, 2014. Ron was born on January 21, 1948 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Alice and Walter Babbitz. He was a 1966 graduate of Neenah High School. Ron married Kathryn Gear on August 2, 1969. They recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Ron retired in 2010. He worked at W.S. Patterson for 30+ years, and more recently with NM Expedited. Ron was well-liked by many, and could carry on a conversation with anyone. Ron was a member of the Valley Vettes Corvette Club, and past president of the Lakeside Dockominium Association. He enjoyed Corvettes, banjos, guitars, music, singing, boating, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, and performing with the Kingston Trio at the Fantasy Camp in 2010. Ron was also a great joke teller. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kathryn; and Rusty (Daddy's boy); sister, Sharron (Kurt) Hansen; brother, Paul (Denise) Rasmussen; brother-in-law, Richard Gear; and sister-in-law, Arty Rasmussen. He is further survived by his nieces, step-nieces and nephews. The memorial service for Ron will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (809 S. Commercial Street, Neenah) with Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Kathryn and Rusty would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Neenah Emergency Response Team.
