HAROLD MARTIN

Harold Henry Martin, age 74, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Theda Clark Medical Center after a short battle with lung cancer and multiple myeloma. He was born on October 4, 1940 in De Pere, WI; son of the late Burton and Blanche (Verheyen) Martin. On August 19, 1961, he was united in marriage to Janice E. Mayer. Harold was employed with and retired from Menasha Corp. He enjoyed woodworking projects, fishing and camping with his family. He was always willing to help anyone with any project and no project was too big for him. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and family guidance. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Janice Martin, Menasha; son, Jeffrey (Sue) Martin, Neenah; daughter, Julie Martin, Appleton; grandchildren: Michael (Jenny) Jolly, Amy (Andrew) Formanek, Carrie (Andy) Schultz and Greg (Jacqueline Denny) Martin; great-grandchildren: Emilee and Carson Jolly and Calvin, Nathan and Olivia Formanek; brothers: Jim (Sharon) Martin and Richard Martin; sisters: Judy Martin, Nancy (Don) Harrison and Mary Waters and his beloved dog, Odie. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sally Harrison and brother, David Martin. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Geisthardt will officiate. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place in Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Harold's family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Klinkhammer and the staffs of Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology and Theda Clark Medical Center for their compassionate care.
