EDWARD BRAEMER

Edward A. Braemer, age 93, of Neenah passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah.  He was born on January 24, 1925 in Neenah, Wisconsin, son of the late Edward and Martha (Jape) Braemer.  After graduating from Neenah High School in 1942, Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  On September 17, 1949 he married Mabel C. Forslund at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha.  Their marriage was blessed with six children, and 50 wonderful years.  Edward was a service manager at Sears Department Store for over 40 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the cabin, and cheering on the Packers and the Cubs.  Edward was a friendly man; a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather; and was very generous with his time and talents to help others.

He is survived by his children: Steven (Patricia) Braemer, Appleton; Sally Braemer, Neenah; Alan (Mary) Braemer, Neenah; Mary (Philip) Vose, Lake Forest, IL; James Braemer, Neenah; Darlene DeRoche, Neenah; 7 grandchildren: Brenda (Ben), Brian (Jackie), Brigit (Jenn), Jared (Jena), Eric (Brooke), Nick, Matthew; several great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, and his beloved wife, Mabel; he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

The Funeral Service for Edward will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home.  Friends will be received at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service.  Military Honors will be performed at the conclusion of the funeral service.  He will be laid to rest alongside Mabel in St. Margaret's Cemetery, Neenah.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.
