GERALD WYHOSKI

Gerald J. "Whosker" Wyhoski, age 66, of Menasha passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 17, 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of Rosalie (Kinlein) and the late Norbert Wyhoski. After high school graduation, Gary proudly served his country with the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam Era. He married Susan K. Stahl on November 10, 1973 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha. The marriage was blessed with 41 wonderful years. In 2012 Whosker retired from Bemis Corporation after 38 years of service. Gary was a member of American Legion Post 38 in Appleton. He was a flag man and referee for the American Power Boat Association, Professional Racing Category. Nothing made him more happy during his boat racing career than helping as a Pit Man for his brother-in-law, Marty Stahl's racing team. Besides his love of boat racing, Whosker loved cooking, fishing, hunting, and cheering on the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. He was a loving, caring man with a great sense of humor. His cooking, and his way of making people happy will be sadly missed by those who loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his daughter, Sarah Wilde, Menasha; grandchildren: Alex, Dylan, Rachael, and Ryan; his mother, Rosalie Wyhoski, Wauwatosa; brother, Tom (Terri) Wyhoski, Wauwatosa; his yellow lab, Libby; other relatives, and many friends. In addition to his father, Norbert, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachel. A Memorial Gathering for Whosker will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be given to American Legion Post 38 in Appleton. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the ThedaCare team, and the ThedaCare at Home Hospice team, especially his nurse, Bonnie for their dedicated, exceptional care through Gary's illness.
