MARGARET YOUNG

On Friday, Jan 06, 2012 Maggies two male nurses picked her up and took her to the Pearly Gates where St. Peter welcomed her. To her family she was always Dolly ; to her friends she was Maggie; to her children she was just Mom. Maggie was an operator for the telephone company, spending 30 years with Wisconsin Bell and AT&T, retiring in 1984. After retiring, she worked for Tel-Sec and Miles Kimball. Maggie was a past member of a Red Hatters group and enjoyed time with her many friends. Maggie loved to sew and make her own clothes, as well as sewing for her children and many others. She loved to garden, or she could be seen walking around or riding her bike. Maggie especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always opened her door to friends and family. Maggie had a quick wit and a very humorous side. She was born the fifth of seven children to John and Margaret (Sitter) Jungwirth on January 22, 1931. In 1950 she married Eugene (Danny) Young. Together they raised 5 wonderful children who all remain active and healthy: Christine (Tim) Wendland, Stockton CA; Timothy, Kaukauna; Danette (Glen) DeGroot, Greenville; Mearl, Neenah; and Tedd (special friend, Jackie Limpert), Neenah. Survivors also include her grandchildren: Samantha and Elizabeth Young, Mt. Horeb, WI.; Cara Richards (Michael Thompson), and their children, Nathaniel, Amanda, Jacob, Devin, and Kaleb, White Bear Township, MN; April (Ron) Gadola, and their children, Jennifer and Tyler, Stockton, CA.; one brother, Edward (Martha) Jungwirth, Wetumpka, AL; three sisters: Marie (Dale) Gartner, Oshkosh; Dolores (Dwayne) Gannon, Fond du Lac; Anna (Dean) Smith, Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Sonny) Jungwirth; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers: Florien (Sonny), and Jerome; two sisters-in-law: Martha Jungwirth, and Shirley Jungwirth; a brother-in-law, Dale Gartner; and her husband, Danny. A memorial service for Maggie will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. The family wishes to thank the 5th and 6th floor staff at Theda Clark Medical Center and the excellent staff at Cherry meadows for taking care of Maggie. You all did a wonderful job. Mom, you are the light of your childrens lives. All you have taught us, all you have given, will remain. Margarets wish is to celebrate her life, not mourn her death.
