MARJORIE ROST

It was a glorious summer day on June 29, 2011 when Marjorie Jean Rost made her way to her Lord and family members who preceded her in eternity. She was born May 7, 1928 in Kingsford, MI, daughter of the late Fredrick and Mabel (Jarvey) Gorrell. Jean married Robert Rost on August 11, 1950 in Neenah. Jean worked at Kimberly-Clark, Mihms Restaurant and the Appleton VFW. She enjoyed her family and loved spending time with her grandkids. Jean also enjoyed bowling, casino trips, riding Amtrak, vacationing, camping, and Muskie fishing. Everyone she met immediately became her friend. Jean was an active member of St. Marks Lutheran Church of Neenah where she served on various committeess and helped with the Ladies Sewing Workshop. The family and friends she knew are celebrating her time on earth and the love she shared. Jean will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert; four children: Carole (Lee) Diehl, Bill (Mary) Rost, Shelly (Joseph) Lingnofski, Rick (Ashley) Rost; 7 grandchildren: 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Eleanor (Eddie) Layden, Shirley (Preston) Spencer; and a sister-in-law, Loretta Gorrell. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011, at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah, with the Rev. Stephen Dietzler officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. A memorial is being established in her name.
