ALBERT ZUEHLKE

Albert L. Zuehlke, age 78, left his pain and suffering and went with God on Sunday morning, August 7, 2011 at Vallhaven Care Center in Neenah. He was born on May 23, 1933 in Fremont, son of the late Leonard and Harriet (Saylor) Zuehlke. On July 3, 1952 he married Patsy A. Plath in Menasha, and this year the couple celebrated 59 years of marriage. Albert owned two taverns, both named, The Home Plate, one in Menasha, one in Tigerton in the early and mid-70s. He then retired with special recognition in 1995 as a Custodian for Winneconne Public Schools. He enjoyed fishing, going up North, the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks, time spent with family and friends, and promoting his businesses. Albert was well-liked by those who knew him. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patsy; his children: Michael (Deborah) Zuehlke, Neenah Lori (Ray) Frank, Berlin; grandchildren: Scott (Sarah) Zuehlke, Kaukauna, Adam Zuehlke, Minneapolis, Tracy (Derick) Saunders, Berlin, Justin (Christyna) Frank, Green Bay, Skylar Frank, Berlin; great grandchild, Tyce Frank; sister, Barbara Hausher, Appleton; brother-in-law, Thomas (Mary) Plath, Appleton; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Gertrude (Richard) Craddock, Jacqueline (Jerome) Schmidt; infant brother, Cecil Zuehlke; brothers-in-law: Gordon Hausher and Richard Plath. The Memorial Service for Albert will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service. He will be privately interred in Lakeside Cemetery in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
