VALERIA BRANDENBURG

Valeria E. Brandenburg, 90, Town of Menasha, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011, at Vallhaven Care Center in Neenah. Val was born September 18, 1920, in Readfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Helen (Schneider) Wangelin. She was united in marriage to Arthur E. Brandenburg on June 24, 1947. She was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed traveling to destinations around the United States. Later in life she enjoyed going out to lunch with her close friends, curling up with a book, or working on her crossword puzzles. Survivors include her two sons, Bill Brandenburg, Town of Menasha, and Terry Brandenburg, West Allis; two granddaughters, Kristin Brandenburg and Karen Brandenburg, both of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Lucille Fisher, Neenah; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Abraham, Fremont. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Val was preceded in death by her husband and parents; sisters Selma Wing, Bernice Masterson and Helena Abraham; and sister-in-law Lillian Wagner. The Christian Funeral Service for Val will be Friday, August 12, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service at the church. Internment will be in the Wolf River Cemetery.
