LYLE ROSHINKO

Lyle J. Smokey Roshinko, age 79 of Neenah, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Theda Clark Medical Center with his loving daughter at his side. He was born September 19, 1931 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of the late Daisy (Courvall) Wilde and Joseph Roshinko. On February 18, 1956, he was united in marriage to the former Vernice Tesch at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, WI where he was a member. Lyle was employed at the P.H. Glatfelter Company, Bergstrom Division for 30 years. He also served in the U.S. Armed Forces from November 1949 to February 1967. He received the AF Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal and was a member of the Hawley Dieckhoff Post #33. He was also a member of the P.H. Glatfelter Quarter Century Club. Lyle is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Roshinko; special friend Roy Griesbach; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Verlin and Gladys Tesch, Neenah; Vernon and Evelyn Tesch, Neenah; and Raymond and Velda Pokrandt, Oshkosh; as well as many nieces and nephews. His loving wife and lifetime companion of 50 years, Vernice preceded him in death 5 years ago. The funeral service for Lyle will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah, Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2011, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, and again Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at church. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Lyles name.
