ROBERT HARRISON

Robert C. Harrison, age 90, of Neenah, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 18, 2013. He was born June 14, 1922, in Fence, WI, the son of Harvey C. and Ida B. (Ternes) Harrison. He graduated from Goodman High School in 1941. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Shortly after his honorable discharge, he married Gladys A. Pietz from Oshkosh, WI. They married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh on November 29, 1947, and were happily married for 65 years. Robert was a home building contractor for more than 50 years. He retired in 1997. Robert had several old cars, and for many years has been a member of Central Wisconsin Auto Collectors Car Club in Oshkosh. He and his son were, and still are, maple syrup producers. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; their two children: Roberta (Phillip) Kappell, and Harvey (Debra) Harrison; six grandchildren: Jessie (Todd), Diana, Raymond (Shirley), Heather, Harvey, and Robert; five great grandchildren: Gavin, Erica, Tasha, Taylor, and Olivia; Robert is further survived by two sisters and a brother: Flora (Wilbur) Hack, Irene Radtke, and Norman (Grace) Harrison; two sisters-in-law: Erma Bradley and Harriet Bradley; and a brother-in-law, Harold (Lois) Pietz. Also many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Robert will be Saturday, June 1, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, 1390 Breezewood Lane, Neenah, with Pastor Richard Frost officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Roberts name.
