JAMES GODECK

James C. Godeck, age 68 of New London, passed away suddenly Friday, January 27, 2012. He was born February 5, 1943 to the late Dorothy Vroman. In his earlier years, Jim worked as a truck driver for Fore Way Express and enjoyed motorcycles and racing cars. He was also a man who loved the outdoors. He greatly enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and family, especially in the Eagle River area. He also cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his son, Brian (Erica) Godeck; his grandchildren: Gavin and Jordan; the mother of his children, Barb Godeck ; his siblings: Jean Davis; Al (Cindy) Vroman; Eddie (Laura) Vroman; and Mary Ann (Norm) Dakins. He is further survived by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his children: Jim Jr. and Bonnie; a grandson, Joshua; a brother-in-law, Les Davis; and his beloved dog, Wyatt. A memorial service for Jim will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 12:00 NOON at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jims name.
