BARBARA KISER

Barbara A. Kiser, Strong, independent and loving sister, aunt and niece. Age 68, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her home in Oshkosh. She was born April 18, 1943; daughter of late Larry and Janet Dorschner. Fiercely independent, Barb enjoyed above all spending time with her family and living life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her sister, Bev, especially in visiting their Aunt Josephine Haack up to her passing in 2009. Barb retired from Al-Can in 2005 after many years of service. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church of Menasha where she served as a choir member, Sunday School teacher and Luther League advisor for many years. Barb loved to go shopping and she was always looking for that special Santa or rabbit to add to her collection. She enjoyed going out to lunch with her cousins and former co-workers and taking road trips to the various casinos. Survivors include a sister: Bev (Dan) Hoks, Menasha; brother Larry Jr. (Pam) Dorschner, Ohio; special niece; Sarah (Ben) Kohls and special nephew; Jamie (Kathy) Hites and their son Ben; Uncle Ray (Donna) Dorschner and several cousins. Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, with Pastor David Skarsten officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a luncheon immediately following in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established for the church.
