PATRICIA ROSS

Patricia Marie Ross, age 89, formerly of Menasha, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Peabody Manor. She was born April 29, 1919 in Juneau, daughter of the late Rev. Carl and Emma Mae (Pettack) Mack. She married Robert Ross on July 20, 1940; he preceded her in death on December 27, 1998 after 58 years of marriage. Bob and Pat enjoyed their retirement years playing golf and bridge in Umatilla, FL, where they had many close friends at Pine Meadows Country Club and St. Philips Church. Pat also had many friends at the Heritage in Appleton where she continued her bridge playing for the last five years. Pat was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha, where she and Bob were charter members, and the Neenah/Menasha Elks Lodge #676. Pat is survived by her sons: David (Brenda), Atlanta, GA, Michael (Judy), Greenville, Patrick, Waupaca; a sister, Carlene Meyer, Neenah, grandchildren: Tom (Jennifer), Appleton, Tony, CA, Bill, Waupaca, Bob, Waupaca, and Sharon (Dave), Suzanne (Tim), Shannon (Matt), and Brad, all of Atlanta, GA; eight great-grandchildren, nephews: Greg (Mary) Rheinhardt, and Stan (Caryl) Meyer; nieces: Judy Mirich, Pam and Vicki Thompson. She was preceded in death by a son, John, February 1999, a sister, Virginia (Tommy) Thompson, and a nephew, Jeff Meyer. The funeral service for Pat will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at 12:00 pm, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Menasha, with the Rev. David Skarsten officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Peabody Manor for their care of Pat.
