Obituary
Linda L. Campbell, Neenah, age 63, was called to her eternal home on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. She was born January 22, 1946 in Kewaunee, daughter of the late Arden and Clara (Hanamann) Besserdich. She married Merritt Campbell on August 10, 1968 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kewaunee, and they have lived in Neenah since their marriage. Linda graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1964. She worked at AAL (now Thrivent) until her retirement in January of 2002. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neenah. Linda and Merritt enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Linda's grandchildren were her pride and joy. Linda is survived by her husband, Merritt, Neenah; two children: Joel (Pamela) Campbell, Tracy (Chad) Hensen; four grandchildren: Angelica, Austin, Carly and Connor; three sisters: Karen Karnopp, Elaine (Jim) Stuebs, and Arlene (Jim) Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Irl Karnopp. A funeral service for Linda will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neenah with the Rev. Richard Frost officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, April 3, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 pm at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, and again on Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Special thanks to Theda Care Hospice, Dr. Phillips and his staff, Dr. Brennan, and the 5th floor nursing staff at Theda Clark Medical Center.

Dear Tracy & Family, How tragic to lose a mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother at such a young age. Treasure your memories and find comfort in each other. I was given a plaque when my mom passed and would like to share the words. I hope you find peace and comfort as i did..."We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
