RICKEY DORN

Rick M. Dorn, age 58 of Neenah, passed away surrounded by his family at home, following a courageous battle with kidney cancer. He was the first child born on January 1, 1955 in Neenah/Menasha, son of Gladyce (England) and the late Richard Dorn. Rick was a 1973 graduate of Menasha High School. After high school Rick took a job with American Can, and retired from Bemis-Curwood in March, 2013. On November 14, 1975 he married Karen Gloede in Oshkosh. The marriage was blessed with two sons and just short of 38 years. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, drinking beer, watching the SyFy Channel, and any time spent Up North at his land in Mountain. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Karen; sons: Michael (Jenny), Oshkosh, Christopher, Neenah; two fur babies, Molly and Gracie; three grandcats, and one granddog; his mother, Gladyce Dorn; sisters: Susan (Roy) Nelson, Diane (Joe Omachinski) Dorn, Sharon (Mark) Pechotta; brother, Ron Dorn; several aunts, uncles, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, friends from work, from school, and from up North. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Carol; father-in-law, Elwyn; paternal and maternal grandparents; aunts and uncles. The Funeral Service for Rick will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will immediately follow in St. Margaret Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Cancer Sucks!
