PAUL REDMOND

Paul A. Redmond, age 81, of Menasha passed away on Monday morning, October 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 23, 1932 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, son of the late Thomas and Minnie (Jackisch) Redmond. After graduation, Paul proudly served his country with the United States Army, stationed in Japan from 1952 until 1954. On March 7, 1953 he married Sara Sally Arno, and the couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. The marriage was also blessed with three sons and two daughters. Paul was employed by Neenah Paper Company for 38 years. He loved camping, going to the casino, rummage saling, CB radio, playing cribbage, the Green Bay Packers, time spent at the cottage he and his family built, 19 years of Wintering in South Padre Island, TX, and most of all, time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sally; his children: Michael (Sherry) Redmond, Walsenburg, CO, Sue (Steve) Kolasinski, New London, Lynn (Edward) Behnke, Menasha, Jim Redmond, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Tim (Renee) Redmond, Salt Lake City, UT, Jeff (Julia) Redmond, Denver, CO, Teri (Mike) Horn, Reedsville, Lisa (Chris) Richards, Cottage Grove, Nicole Behnke, Fort Dodge, IA, Caitlin Behnke, Menasha, Zach Redmond, Oshkosh; great grandchildren: Kalie, Jordan, Madison, Ashlyn, Xander, Preston, Elliot, Enide, Ziva; sisters: Ruth Reberger, Portland, OR, Virginia Ford, Oshkosh, Edith Christensen, Winneconne, Rose Redmond, Oshkosh; siblings-in-law, Hazel Doran, Blanchardville, Jim (Gerri) Arno, Menasha; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tom Redmond, 2 granddaughters: Sarah Kolasinski, Danielle Behnke; sister, Betty Dahse, two brothers, John and Patrick Redmond; parents-in-law, Marty and Rowena Arno, five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. A Prayer service for Paul will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
