RUTH EGGERT

Ruth J. Eggert, 90, of Neenah, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at ManorCare of Appleton. Ruth was born September 3, 1920, in New London, the daughter of Byron and Mildred (Cartwright) Christian. She was united in marriage to Gordon W. Eggert on September 25, 1948, in New London. He preceded her in death November 13, 2000. Ruth was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and in the past was active with different ministries there, including the Altar Guild. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Mixerette Homemakers in Neenah. Ruth enjoyed bowling and craftswork, and especially being with her grandsons. Survivors include her daughter, Jayne Dorn, Neenah; two grandsons, Nick Dorn (Michelle Olson), Oshkosh, and Joshua Dorn, Neenah; sisters-in-law, Mary Christian and Phylis (Don) Dent; nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her brothers, John, William and Byron, Jr. Christian; sisters and brothers-in-law: Helen (Guy) Ingersoll, Marge (Herman) Gagnow, Lenard Eggert, Erma (Willis) Gensler, and Alyce (George) Loiacano; and her father and mother-in-law, John and Irene Eggert. The Funeral Service for Ruth will be Monday, February 28, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Neenah, with Rev. Tabitha Gallatin officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the church until the hour of the service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
