JANET ERTL

Janet E. Ertl, of Neenah, age 74, was called home by her Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2011. She was born July 29, 1936 in Loyal, WI, daughter of the late Munson and Florence (Schroeder) Vanderhoof. Janet married Clarence Ertl on September 12, 1953. He preceded her in death on November 24, 1995. Janet loved baking and touched many lives caring for many children through the years. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church of Neenah for 50 years. Survivors include her five children: Rick (Debbie) Ertl, Neenah, Patti Van Price (Randy Riehl), Shiocton, Gary Ertl, Appleton, Robbie (Lynn) Ertl, Neenah, Jeffrey (Cheri) Ertl, Mt. Pleasant, WI; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorena Gehrke, Spencer, WI; a brother, Robert (Donna) Vanderhoof, MN; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Sharon) Ertl, Dunbar, WI. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian; and two brothers: Albert Vanderhoof and Munson Vanderhoof Jr. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 1228 S. Park Ave., Neenah, with the Rev. Rick Schroeder officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name. Mom, it is now time to rest, you have shown us that it is not about how much we have but how much we give. You have helped and touched so many by giving your time and sharing your home. Many students in Neenah Schools and people working in area businesses will miss your cookies and other treats. We know you are home with Dad and your Savoir Jesus Christ. We will miss you!! Love, your family
