CHARLES HOERNKE

Charles E. Hoernke, age 64 of Menasha, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at his home. He was born July 30, 1946 to the late Earl and Leona (Ready) Hoernke. In 2006, he married Tina Hantschel. Charlie was a very social man and was very active in his community. He was a member of the Waverly North Enders as well as the Fox Valley Eagles Aerie 1063, the American Legion-Sherwood Branch #0496, and the VFW Post 2126. He was also a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army while stationed in Germany. He also enjoyed golfing with Wally, Bud and Bob, but fishing with Wally and Bob meant the most to him. As a high school athlete, Charlie was an All-American, having exceled in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He was a life-long Packer fan and greatly enjoyed spending Christmas with his family. Charlie is survived by his wife, Tina; his son, Eric Hoernke, Myrtle Beach; step-son, Tyler (Rebecca) Creviere; step-granddaughter, Kira Rolf; his brothers: Mike (Ann) Hoernke and John (Vicky) Hoernke, many nieces and nephews, and his dearest friend, Wally (Debbie) Seacotte. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Arlene Hoernke and Carol Anderson. A memorial service for Charlie will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home, Father Paul Paider officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service. I pray that I may live To fish until my dying day.
