DORIS SCHRAMPFER

Doris A. Schrampfer, of Menasha, age 83, passed away following a lengthy illness on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Manor Care in Appleton. She was born July 31, 1928 in Stonewall, CO, daughter of the late Garnie and Hester (Koch) Winch. Doris graduated from Menasha High School. She married Marcellus Morrie Schrampfer on October 21, 1950 in Menasha. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2000. Doris enjoyed sailing and taking long motorcycle rides with her husband. She was known to her family as the kissing Grandma. Doris also enjoyed visiting friends, neighbors and church members who were residing in nursing homes. She was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan and she loved swimming. Doris was a very active member of Martin Luther Church of Neenah where she participated in bible study and sang in the choir. Survivors include her four children: Shirley (Robert) Blemberg, Appleton, Karl Schrampfer and fianc, Cathy Holmberg, Appleton, Kurt (Kristi) Schrampfer, Appleton, Martin (Karen) Schrampfer, Neenah; ten grandchildren: Ryan Rothenbach, Laura Schrampfer, Sara Schrampfer and fianc, Andy Prentice, Paul Schrampfer, Kate Schrampfer and fianc, Eric Dulmes, Marie Schrampfer, David Schrampfer, Bridgette Schrampfer, Mitchell Schrampfer, and Alexander Schrampfer; three step-grandchildren: Chrissy Balthazor, Michael Blemberg, Brigit Blemberg; three step-great-grandchildren: Evan, Graham and Lily Balthazor; a sister, Shirley Breening, Menasha; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Winch. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Martin Luther Church, 436 S. Lake St., Neenah, with The Rev. Richard I. Krahn II officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 .m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for the church.
