ERNA DUMKE

Erna M. Dumke, of Menasha, age 86, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, February 11, 2012. She was born September 29, 1925 in Greenville, daughter of the late Albert and Lizzie (Arndt) Herzfeldt. Erna graduated from Weyauwega High School. She married Ervin Dumke on March 24, 1945. He preceded her in death on January 8, 2008. Erna enjoyed sewing, embroidery and all kinds of puzzles. She was a faithful member of Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church of Menasha. A loving mother, grandma and great-grandma, she will be sadly missed by her three children: Nancy (Andrew Paul) Mohnen, Menasha, Jean Dumke, Menasha, Randall (Melanie) Dumke, Neenah; five grandchildren: Benjamin, MirandaAnn, Dawn, Michelle and Christine; eight great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jamie, Baily, Cheyenne, Kellie, Mackenzie, Brett and Mason; a son-in-law, David Gruber; and a sister, Esther Olson, Appleton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Gruber; a sister; and five brothers. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church, 829 Appleton Rd., Menasha, with The Rev. Samuel Degner officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
