Obituary

Johannes Johnny Hoffmann, 22, of Menasha, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident. Johnny was born April 10, 1989, in Appleton, the son of Todd (Emily Lucas) Hoffmann, Neenah, and Johanna (Mike) VanVeghel Heller, Larsen. When he was born, the family celebrated five generations on the Hoffmann side of the family. He grew up in Neenah and was a 2007 graduate of Neenah High School. Johnny loved riding BMX, and was very active with the Dead End Army, a regional group of BMXers that loved to push themselves to the limit. He was very social, touching the lives of so many, many friends; and all his friends and buddies knew that he loved them! Johnny enjoyed snowmobiling with his dad, hunting with his grandpa, and goin muddin any chance he could. When he was in middle and high school, he excelled in soccer and was a huge soccer player. Johnny will be truly missed by all his family and friends. Survivors include his father and mother; his brothers and sister: Zach Hoffmann, Neenah; Krystal (Jason) Bubolz, Little Chute; Nick Heller and Terk Heller, of Larsen; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Hoffmann, Hortonville; his maternal grandfather, Johannes VanVeghel, Appleton; his girlfriend, Katrina Katie Sprang, Menasha; godparents, Doug Hawley and Pam Ronski; his godson, Oliver Hoffmann; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Hoffmann and maternal grandmother, Barbara VanVeghel. The Funeral Mass for Johnny will be celebrated on Friday, August 19, 2011, 11:00 a.m., at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville, with Father David Lewis officiating. The visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, and again on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of mass. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Clintonville. Johnny, I am going to miss you more than I can express through words. You are, and always will be, my rock. Your smile will bring me so much joy and my heart will forever yearn for you. I love you so much. I promise that my love for you will still last forever. I know that your beautiful spirit will live with all of us forever. Katie

To the Hoffman Family: Though I don't know of Johnny, I do know your daughter Krystal. I have the pleasure of working with her at St. Mary's Hospital.....she is one of my co-workers. Let me express my deepest condolences to all of you for your loss. May God give you strength during this difficult time of your lives.
