WILLIAM TONN

William F. Bill Tonn Jr., Grandpa Bill , of Menasha, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Bridgewood Nursing and Rehab. He was born June 4, 1933 in Menasha, son of the late William and Jennie (Dunn) Tonn Sr. Bill was employed in construction, mostly with C.R. Meyer, retiring in 1994. He was a 45 year member of the Laborers Local #330 of Menasha. He enjoyed hunting, fishing (where he took more than his limit), and spending time at his cabin in Mountain. Bill volunteered at the 206 Club in Menasha and he will be deeply missed by all his friends there. Survivors include five sons: Bill (Cathie) Janke, Bob (Teri) Tonn, Gary (Mary) Tonn, Dino Tonn and his special friend, Miss Wood, David Gert (Kathy) Tonn; a granddaughter, Sara (John McCoy) Tonn; a sister, Norene Stockman; and his special dogs, Shadow and Brandy. Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Bud Tonn; and three sisters: Hazel Gifford, Margaret Janke and Ruth Slomski. A private family service will be held.
