DELORES KAPPELL

Delores M. Kappell, age 75, of Menasha, passed away on Saturday evening, June 8, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital with her family at her side after a lengthy and hard-fought battle with heart and kidney failure. She was born on May 22, 1938 in Bonduel, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Dehn) Themer. On March 25, 1968 she married Frank Kappell in Menasha, Wisconsin where their two families joined together. Delores was employed at Banta Media for many years, retiring ten years ago. She was a lovable, strong willed woman who loved gardening, making jewelry, decorating cakes, cooking, baking, knitting, crochet, shopping. Motorcycle Mama also loved riding on Franks Harley with their friends. She will be forever remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, Frank; her daughters: Deborah (Stephen) Riese, Fond du Lac, Kathy (Special friend Ron) Kappell, Green Bay, Elaine (Mike) Schink, Menasha, Kim (Don) Brandt, Appleton; son, Mark (Cathy) Kappell, Green Bay; grandchildren: Christine, Chantalle, Danielle, Melissa, Christina, Tracy, Shanon, Faith, Christopher, Jesse, D.J.; 8 great grandchildren; her sisters: Donna (William) Krieg, Menasha, Barbara (Ken) Taplin, Clintonville, Bonnie (Steve) Young, Menasha; step-brother, Douglas Joas, Neenah; her beloved dog, Daisy; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Raymond Themer and Elsie (Dehn) Themer Joas; her son, Ron Pauly Jr.; two step-brothers: Lionel and Richard Joas. The Memorial Service for Delores will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Reyburn officiating. Friend will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of service. The family would like to thank the staffs of Fresenius Dialysis Center and of the St. Elizabeth I.C.U. for all of the care and compassion given to Delores and her family throughout her illness.
