VIRGINIA MOTTL

Virginia Ginny Mottl, age 77, of Neenah, beloved mother and grandmother passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2014 at Theda Clark Medical Center. Ginny was born on April 25, 1936 in Oshkosh, WI to Ruben and Gertrude (Nachtrab) Matulle. She graduated from Oshkosh High School. On September 14, 1957 she married her high school sweetheart, George Mottl Jr. George preceded her in death on October 10, 2007 just after they had celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She was employed at the Neenah Joint School District in the food service area for 20 years and retired in 1991. She was a volunteer at Theda Clark in her spare time. Ginny enjoyed spending time with her family, the many lunches and casino trips with the girls, and spending winters in Arizona with George. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Linda) Mottl, Warrenville, South Carolina; her daughter, Michele (Brian) Plach, Neenah, WI; four grandchildren: Mindy Mottl, Appleton, WI, Amy (Ryan) Spiegl, Appleton, WI, Terra (Colin) Boeckers, Appleton, WI, and Andrew Plach, Ames, Iowa; great grandson, Porter Spiegl, her little snookie. She is further survived by a brother, Vernon Matulle, Oshkosh, WI; sister-in-law, Diane (Austin) Streblow, Oshkosh, WI; and brother-in-law, Steven (Cindy) Mottl, Faribault, MN; and many special friends. The Funeral Service for Ginny will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service. A private interment will be held at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
