LANCE VAN GROLL

Lance David Van Groll, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. He was born on August 29, 1984 in Appleton; son of David Van Groll and Lisa (Hoefler) Bongean. Lance lived life to the fullest on his own terms. Some of his favorite activities were jet skiing with his brothers, jogging with his beloved dog, Brutus and enjoying a good home-cooked meal from Grandma Teri. He worked with his family in their business, Primitive Gatherings in Menasha. Lance was a gentle soul who was always looking forward to a good time with the people he loved. Lances life was tragically cut short and he will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Lisa (Nick) Bongean; father, David (Ellen) Van Groll; siblings, Alexis Van Groll, Nick and Kyle Otte, Luke Neubauer and Jake (Lauren) Neubauer; grandmothers, Theresa Hoefler and Mary Van Groll; step-grandparents, Len (Ellen) Opsteen and Marge Bongean; uncles and aunts, Edwin Hoefler, Jr., Amy Hoefler, Brad (Tina) Hoefler and Mike (Robin) Hoefler, Dan (Carol) Van Groll, Brian (Tina) Van Groll and Brenda Ziehl; cousins, Katie, Brandon, Tyler and Addison Hoefler; niece, Lila Otte and many other relatives and good friends. He was preceded in death by his, grandfathers, Edwin Hoefler, Sr. and Marvin Van Groll, step-grandfather, Gerald Bongean and uncle, Keith Ziehl. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 " 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund is being established in his name.
