ANNA THOMACK

Anna Ida Thomack, of Neenah, age 101, went to her eternal home with her family beside her on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Sterling House in Neenah. She was born October 27, 1910, in Manawa, daughter of the late August and Alvina (Doede) Ernst. Anna married Paul E. Thomack on August 1, 1926, and they were married for 61 years. Anna loved the Lord and this was reflected by her servant heart. Everyone that knew her, loved her. Anna (Mom , Nana ) was a creative, compassionate and spiritual woman who lived life with grace, love and dignity. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, canning and baking (that cookie jar was never empty). She also enjoyed following the Packers and the Brewers. Anna was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah and she was part of the Ladies Aide. Survivors include her six children: Gertrude Wilkes, Magnolia, TX, Wilmer (Marilyn) Thomack, Waupaca, Verlyn Bob Thomack, Sheboygan, Marjorie Winarski, Neenah, Jeanette Prey, Neenah, Sandra (Randy) Popp, Neenah; 19 grandchildren, James (Brenda) Wilkes, Steven (Terri) Wilkes, Christine (Mark) Churpek, David Thomack, Dan (Vicki) Thomack, Julie (Scott) Felbab, Scott Thomack, Stephanie (Keith) Kogler, John (Patti) Thomack, Stuart (Kathy) Winarski, Todd Winarski, Gregory Winarski, Lori Sasse, Paula (Randy) Lutz, Jayme (Kelly Jean) Prey, Brent (Megan) Popp, Kirk (Shannon) Popp, Kyle (Kelly) Popp, Brynn Popp; 27 great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Scott, Angie, Jeana, Marshall, Thomas, Colette, Chad, Anna, Benjamin, Jessica, Rick, Michael, Rachel, Lindsay, Cassie, Emily, Molly, Alyx, Kacy, Brianna, Taylor, Britney, Madalyn, Austin, Ellason and Brady; 10 great-great-grandchildren, Ritchie, Megan, Chelsey, Alyssa, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Alayna, Jackson and Grace; two great-great-great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 1992; a son, Kenneth; a grandson, Phillip; seven brothers: Albert, Richard, Eric, Rudolph, Edwin, Karl and Alfred; and three sisters: Gertrude, Alma and Margaret. Three sons-in-law: Gene Wilkes, Jerry Prey, Bob Winarski and one daughter-in-law, Janet Thomack. Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Sterling House and Asera Care Hospice for their combined supportive and compassionate care of our beloved mother. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, with The Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. " 7:00 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.
