Obituary
Harvey W. Donaldson, age 72 of Larsen, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family, March 14, 2012. He was born March 20, 1939 to Harvey and Dorothy (Alt) Donaldson in Harvard, IL. Harvey graduated from Janesville High School in 1957 and then served in the US Army from 1961-1963. On January 20, 1968, Harvey was married to Jan Rohrer at the First United Methodist Church in Footville, WI. Harvey owned and operated Donaldsons One Hour Cleaners from 1972 until 2001 at which time his son took over the family business. Harvey continued to work until his retirement on December 23, 2011. Harvey loved to travel. While on a Caribbean cruise celebrating 40 years of marriage, Harvey and Jan renewed their wedding vows. He enjoyed trips to the casino, playing Texas Hold Em, and playing poker with his buddies in a monthly poker club. He also enjoyed several hunting trips out west and deer hunting trips to the A Frame with his brothers-in-law. The greatest loves in Harveys life were his wife, children and grandchildren and he will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Jan. They were blessed with three children: Kristine (David) Barr; Craig Donaldson; and Brett (Patti) Donaldson; seven beautiful grandchildren: Zachary Barr and his fianc, Candace Sequin; Jacob Barr; Claire, Brock, Tristan, Lucas, and Benjamin Donaldson. Harvey is further survived by his mother, Dorothy (Raymond) Bund, Janesville; a sister, Carol Smout, FL; a brother, Ralph (Judy) Donaldson, Edgerton, WI; brothers and sisters-in-law: Susan (Jim) Manges; Tom (Pat) Rohrer; Mick (Carol) Rohrer; Mel (Donna) Rohrer; Roger (Connie) Rohrer; Bob Rohrer; Debra (Roger) Yaun; Linda (Agebu) Kromah; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey T. Donaldson; brothers-in-law, Lowell Smout; Dick Numbers; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Rohrer; and a sister-in-law, Rose Rohrer. A funeral service for Harvey will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Neenah, The Rev. Grace Imathiu officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, and again at church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Harveys name. The family would like to thank Theda Care Hospice. Noonie and Jeanne were angels sent to care for Harvey.
