WESLEY BRAUN

Wesley F. Wes Braun, of Neenah, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. He was born May 31, 1939 in Neenah, son of the late Robert and Jeanne (Trader) Braun. Wes graduated from Neenah High School. He married Carol DeBruin on May 7, 1960. He owned and operated Master Electric in Neenah with his father and brother. Wes loved to fish and find that elusive walleye. He was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting the East 40 in the "Hilton" (his deer blind). His family's land in Wautoma was a source of great pride and enjoyment. He also enjoyed spending time at his daughter's cabin near Lake Tomahawk. The opportunities he had to spend with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren gave him immense joy. He loved to tease and had a great sense of humor. Elvis music was a favorite of his as well as watching the Packers and playing cribbage. Survivors include his wife, Carol; four children: Gregory (Jennifer) Braun, Tina (David) Palmer, Jeffrey (Julie) Braun and Sheila Kelley; ten grandchildren: Shane Braun and Jessica, Trent, Nathan and Nickolas Braun, Caleb and Analysse Palmer, Blair and Hannah Braun, Megan and Matthew Kelley; three great-grandchildren: Courtney, McKenzie and Amara; a brother, Wayne Braun and Judy; three sisters: Nancy Thurow, Faye Peterson and Anita Tittel; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne (Paul) Van Landghen. A memorial service for Wes will be held at 5:30 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name. Wes is now in the mighty hands of our dear Lord.
